frieght train

Wasn’t feeling good and pulled the plug at the conclusion of the first lap. In addition to being cooked, I wasn’t quite understanding the road markings designating which way the Allerton loop was routed. Wandering around the prairie after being dropped off the freight train wasn’t my idea of fun.

Honey Badger doesn’t give a crap about leg pains, Honey Badger bites leg pain in the neck.

come on! you're done? We're not even halfway!

cooked

Not sure why but Larry motored on when the lead group pit stopped, I gladly waved bye as they departed for the last 60:

See ya!

Sean was the pace driver, attacking and keeping the tempo high, whittling down a persistent 8 to 5 by the end of the first lap.

Thank you to my lovely photog, Brent, and all the volunteers involved, you’re appreciated. Brent reminded me the race purse is half the racers entry fees tiered 1, 2, 3. 75 in the field might mean up to $300/$250/$200 purses plus some nice coin for the TIMES center. Hopefully this one keeps growing.

Results were: Sean dropped everyone for the rideaway win, Jay and Martin who looked sick as a dog and still rode hard. Kudos gents.
